The Industrial Robotics Group, co-hosted by ETH Zürich and inspire AG, is a small and rapidly growing applied research group that focuses on challenges in manufacturing. Utilizing advanced computational methods, machine learning, modeling, and custom hardware, we address pressing issues and test solutions in various real-world projects.We foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and no BS, where facts, learnings, and results are of utmost importance. We maintain our own state-of-the-art laboratory and are generally well-funded. Our goal is to develop the essential technologies and methodologies needed to create fully integrated, autonomous, and highly reliable systems for manufacturing.We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Research Engineer who can lead cutting-edge robotics projects to success. You set standards and solve challenging problems by integrating your engineering expertise alongside your team members.Tasks
  • Guide and oversee all SW-related activities in the group.
  • Lead and manage projects, ranging from large, long-term undertakings, to short, fast-paced initiatives.
  • As part of your team, design, implement, and test cutting-edge robotics solutions for the industry, based on research results from the group.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor team members, including engineers and researchers, fostering their professional growth as engineers.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field from a top university.
  • Proven track record as a project manager in industry
  • Strong ability to make independent decisions.
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Python and C++.
  • Additional competency in various areas of (software) engineering.
