We are seeking a Product Control Specialist to join our clietns risk and finance team at a leading oil trading firm. This role is critical in ensuring accurate P&L reporting, risk monitoring, and financial controls across the company's crude and refined products trading activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with traders, risk managers, and finance teams to maintain a strong control environment and provide valuable insights into trading performance.Key Responsibilities
Daily P&L production and analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting of trading results.
Monitor and explain P&L variances, reconciling trader estimates with actual booked positions.
Verify trade entries, valuations, and market pricing across crude oil, refined products, and derivatives.
Support month-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial controls.
Collaborate with traders, risk, and finance teams to improve trading performance visibility.
Develop and enhance reporting tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in P&L attribution.
Assist in valuation adjustments (mark-to-market, reserves, and fair value adjustments).
Ensure proper booking of physical and derivatives trades in trading systems.
Work with auditors and regulators on financial reporting and compliance
