The wide range of applications for these products places’ high demands on the mechanical and thermal design. To strengthen our motivated design team, we are looking for a dedicated mechanical design technician with an interest in power electronics. Your knowhow and technical expertise will be key support for divers customer projects.Your responsibilities
In your position, you will be responsible for the mechanical engineering and design of power converters, batteries and cooling systems
Prepare fabrication and assembly documentation and maintain product data in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and SAP
Perform validation tests for cooling, strength requirements and IP-protection
You will also support the production department in the introduction of new products, maintain the product range and implement corrections and improvements
You are responsible for the creation of specifications and clarification of technical questions with suppliers
Last but not least, you will assist the sales department during the concept and quotation phase
Your background
You have successfully completed training in the field of mechanical engineering/design as a technician HF or mechanical engineer FH and are very familiar with CAD/CAE applications
Knowledge of SAP, Windchill PDM, SolidEdge and Creo is an advantage
Ideally, you have know-how in the design of electrical systems
You are fluent in written and spoken German and English
