Reporting directly to the Senior Director, International Medical Affairs, the Senior Manager, International Medical Affairs is a highly visible and impactful role and will be instrumental in supporting and leading Medical Affairs activities for our commercial product and late-stage development products in multiple countries (initial focus on European countries as Spain and UK but encompassing a wider geographical scope). It is a unique opportunity to shape the landscape and the organization for Deciphera and grow alongside the company as it develops.The Role:Supporting the leadership of a supra-regional medical function. This role will include a list of responsibilities in the considered geographical areas, as following described: working closely with other international functions to establish a medical footprint, offering a key contribution to the pre-launch and launch phase. Establish, develop, and manage collaborative relationships with key medical experts and opinion leaders of new markets related to any current and future disease areas relevant for Deciphera.What You’ll Do:
Support the development of the Medical Affairs Plan for assigned products in alignment with the International Lead and the Country Medical Lead.
Provide tactical support to the medical affairs activities in the covered region.
Act as scientific and medical review expert, with ABPI final signatory capabilities within the UK.
Provide medical expertise in all regulatory, early access and reimbursement approval processes.
Partner with Deciphera’s Clinical Development and Clinical Operations to identify and work with local clinical experts that support the development of Deciphera's new compounds and indications.
Ensure that all activities required by pharmacovigilance and risk management are planned, set-up and pursued in accordance to respective local laws.
Ensure legal excellence and compliance in all medical activities as per Deciphera’s SOPs and local regulations.
Promote Deciphera’s values.
Qualifications
MD or bio-science background (PhD)
At least 5 years in Pharma industry, with experience in regional functions, lateral move, or experienced Medical Manager
Previous experience in Oncology or Rare Disease
ABPI Final Signatory
Mobile, willing to travel (approx. 30% work in field)
Hands-on, ready to create a medical footprint of Deciphera in the assigned area and beyond
Strong communication skills, open style & pro-active
Languages: English, Spanish, any other language is beneficial
