- First-level university degree in Information Technology, Management, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification in Business Analysis or Business Process Modelling, such as CBAP or other IIBA certification.
- Certification in Product Management, such as CPOA or PSPO.
- More than 10 years of professional experience in Business Analysis in the context of IT integration and digital transformation
- Formal training in recognized business analysis techniques, reinforced with appropriate work experience. Desirable: CBAP or other IIBA certification.
- Extensive experience using the proven frameworks such as SCRUM software development framework (ideally including SCRUM master or product owner certification or equivalent such as CPOA or PSPO
- Extensive experience in performing the role of a senior business analyst in large-scale IT software application development projects with dozens of stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge and experience in using tools to document processes and workflows, such as Use Case Diagrams, Data and Process Flow Diagrams etc.
- Expert knowledge in measuring and tracking delivery of systems as fit for purpose and in accordance with agreed requirements (KPIs, quality measurements & control points)
- Extensive experience in mentoring other colleagues in Business Analysis practices
- Confident communicator and team player, with advanced/proficient level written and verbal English communication skills
The resource will work under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager of the Customer Experience Project. This assignment is to continue the deployment of a common IT platform which connects multiple IT platforms of our fee- paying services such as PCT, Madrid, and the Hague system.Objective -
- This assignment is to continue the deployment of a common IT platform which connects multiple IT platforms of our fee-paying services such as PCT, Madrid, and the Hague system (Global IP Protection systems).
- The Senior Business Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the design, implementation and monitoring of IP Portal program features as well as assisting Program Manager and Project Managers for the project execution; and carrying out other specialized activities to effectively support the work of the program initiatives.
The Senior Business Analyst will form part of the project office delivery team and provides the required expertise to define and document clear and unambiguous business requirements that will be used to build the different components of the IP Portal, using an interactive/agile approach towards software development.(a) Analyze and document business processes in relation to the registration and fee-paying systems and other outward facing applications in consultation with system users and internal experts. At least one business process is documented every two months.
(b) Develop and document clear and unambiguous business requirements, functional specifications, use case diagrams, data and process flow diagrams etc. At least one specification documented every month in JIRA.
(c) Identify and propose business process related improvements and optimizations considering the shift from isolated application development and operations to a more converged customer experience and integrated platform for the portfolio of applications relevant to the IP Portal.
(d) Take on an active role within project delivery teams that build the components of the IP Portal based on an iterative/agile approach towards software development. Work in close collaboration with business users and system developers to ensure that user requirements are well understood, defined, communicated and implemented within the final product.
(e) Actively participate in monthly sprint planning sessions.
(f) Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing during interactive development cycles to ensure that products meet functional specifications and customer quality expectations. One round of testing per month.
(g) Assist the project team to define and implement suitable tools and techniques to ensure rapid delivery of the required software components.
(h) Perform other tasks as required.
