- Support the CUO in planning and monitoring the shape, size and performance of the Non-Life portfolio, across lines of business and geographies.
- Analyze gross and net underwriting portfolios to assess profitability, earnings volatility, and capital efficiency.
- Lead the designing of tools aiming to improve Underwriting decisions and the monitoring of metrics and accumulations.
- Coordinate and contribute to Business Reviews for select portfolios and lines of business.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams and leaders to understand deviations from plan, loss drivers, or emerging risks.
- Act as a strategic partner to the CUO: offering challenge, support decision-making, and preparing for key meetings
- Follow up with teams to ensure timely execution of CUO-relevant action items
- Prepare high-quality materials for the Board and Senior Management, ensuring clarity, accuracy and alignment.
- University degree in a relevant field (Actuarial, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related).
- 5-15 years of experience in underwriting, actuarial, or portfolio analysis within non-life reinsurance, ideally across multiple lines. Title and responsibilities will be adjusted based on candidate's experience
- Strong understanding of portfolio performance metrics and of the financial implications of underwriting decisions.
- Experience preparing executive-level materials and facilitating cross-functional discussions.
- Strong analytical mindset: able to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Effective communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise messages.
- Strategic thinker with a solid grasp of both underwriting execution and long-term portfolio steering.
- Collaborative and proactive team player comfortable navigating a matrixed organization.
- Self-starter with strong project management capabilities and impeccable attention to detail.
- Naturally curious, eager to learn new topics and form new relationships continuously.
- Proficiency in Excel - additional data analysis tools could be a plus (e.g. Power BI).
