LIGENTEC is a rapidly growing European deep-tech Process Design House (PDH) headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, with R&D and manufacturing operations in France. We develop, design, manufacture, and test Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) for demanding applications in Sensing, Connectivity, and Computing.We are in the look out for our next Project Manager Integration with a strong background in the Silicon Photonics ecosystem.TasksAbout the JobAs our Project Manager for III-V Integration, you are the conductor of a high-tech orchestra. You will lead the end-to-end development of PIC-based systems, bridging the gap between cutting-edge R&D and scalable industrial products. You aren't just managing timelines; you are driving the technical evolution of our photonic platform.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Vision: Direct the development of PIC-based systems from concept to final characterization.
  • Orchestrate Partners: Manage high-stakes relationships with foundries and III-V component suppliers, ensuring seamless material stack development and integration.
  • Cross-Functional Hub: Act as the "glue" between internal PIC Design, Process Integration, and Testing teams.
  • Strategic Interface: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for our most prestigious global customers.
  • Execution Excellence: Own the project lifecycle—managing costs, mitigating risks, and hitting critical milestones.
RequirementsWhat You KnowWe are looking for a technical heavyweight who understands the physics behind the project.
  • Educational Foundation: An MSc or PhD in Photonics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Industry Track Record: 3+ years of experience in semiconductor processes, advanced packaging, or PIC development.
  • Platform Expertise: Deep knowledge of SiN or SiP platforms and a solid grasp of heterogeneous integration (e.g., hybrid bonding or micro-transfer printing).
  • Supplier Mastery: Experience navigating the complexities of external foundries and technology partners.
  • Bonus Points: If you’ve successfully scaled a photonic system from R&D to high-volume industrialization, you’re our ideal candidate.
