Project descriptionThe platform is a strategic solution for investment products and client portfolio management in Switzerland, EMEA, and APAC. The system is currently a multi-tier resilient enterprise cluster implemented with a mix of open source, vendor, and proprietary technologies. 15+ applications are based on a Platform which includes technologies like RHEL, Spring Stack, Container Runtime, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Ignite, Oracle, Ansible, Eclipse RCP, React, Angular, Prometheus/Grafana. We're looking for someone like that to help us • Maintain and upgrade existing technology stack • Development of Ansible playbooks for release rollouts and operational purposes • Enhancement of existing Platform service implementations • Contribute to the Platform Modernization • Provide 3rd Level Support of production environmentsResponsibilities
Investing is a multinational organization inside UBS responsible for building and supporting the One Investment Platform, with the core team in Switzerland. You will work in Platform Team. You will be a part of an agile team of professionals, working in a close collaboration with technical experts of 15+ applications and operations. It is a very demanding, fast paced, and exciting environment.
SKILLSMust have
Bachelor's/master's degree or equivalent with a focus in software engineering
minimum of 10+ years of experience as software engineer for complex applications
working experience with at least one of the following technologies: Kafka, ZooKeeper, Elasticsearch, Ignite
extended experience in the JEE technology stack, Core Java, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Maven
experience with Apache/Tomcat on UNIX/Linux environment with shell script programming
working experience with Agile methodologies
working knowledge in tools such as GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, etc
good communication skills and able to coordinate technical discussion and activities
self-initiative and comfortable working on a wide range of topics
