- Leading and managing the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support as necessary.
- Fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement within the accounting department.
- Managing the closing process of the group entities by reviewing the accounting activities and ensuring data quality.
- Overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Leading the monthly reconciliation and consolidation process of all group entities.
- Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
- Maintaining the asset list, including capitalisation of IP.
- Preparing Financial Reports monthly such as MIS, Liquidity Plan, Budget Analysis or Shareholder Reporting.
- Introducing, developing and maintaining a new accounting system.
- Establishing and maintaining effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing tax compliance activities, including the preparation, and filing of tax returns (e.g., income tax, sales tax, payroll tax).
- Monitoring cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast paced, entrepreneurial, and international environment with a proven track record of success.
- Management experience.
- Higher education within Finance & Accounting, preferably with certified expert in accounting and controlling.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss GAAP and IFRS, certification as chartered accountant.
- A good understanding of Swiss VAT regulations.
- An in-depth understanding of consolidation of group-companies that are internationally distributed.
- You stay calm and effective under pressure, prioritize responsibilities.
- You are innovative, efficient, and very communicative.
- Fluent in German and English (written/spoken or native).
