- Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for security operations across multiple geographies, aligning with the overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Security Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy for the region, including threat assessment, risk management, crisis response, and mitigation plans.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a diverse team of security professionals, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
- Incident Management: Develop and oversee incident response protocols, ensuring rapid and effective response to security incidents, breaches, and emergencies.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, human resources, IT, and senior management, to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security gaps and develop strategies to address them.
- Physical Security: Oversee the implementation and management of physical security measures, including access control systems, CCTV, perimeter security, and emergency response plans.
- Cybersecurity: Collaborate with the IT security team to ensure the implementation and maintenance of robust cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets and data.
- Product/Supply Chain Security: Collaborate with Global Product Security team in implementing risk mitigation, monitoring threats, and investigating product and supply chain security incidents.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to security and privacy.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver security training programs for employees and contractors to promote security awareness and best practices.
- Budget Management: Manage the security operations budget, including resource allocation, procurement, and cost control.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure the delivery of effective security services and solutions.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on security operations, incidents, and mitigation strategies to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in security management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or relevant equivalents are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in security management, preferably in a biotechnology or healthcare-related industry.
- In-depth knowledge of physical security practices, cybersecurity principles, risk assessment, and emergency response protocols.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience in crisis management and incident response.
- Familiarity with local, national, and regional regulations related to security.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
- Fluent in English, other languagues a plus
